Arguably the most successful of the folkboat derived yachts, they are now becoming highly sought after. ‘Pitti Sing’ is fundamentally in sound condition, with a good engine, but requires an internal refit (wiring, gas and heads) to give her a new lease of life. The Contessa 26 interior offers up to 4 berths in 2 cabins with approx. 5′ 8″ max. headroom aft. Forepeak with V-berth, beneath berth stowage and hatch to foredeck. Marine toilet forward to starboard with hanging locker opposite. Saloon offering two generous settee/quarter berths aft with galley area amidships equipped with a Plastimo two-burner gas stove. Gas system requires checking. Storage to port, galley sink with manual supply and chart area to starboard. Dark blue corduroy upholstery (in as new condition).

Mechanical Systems
Located abaft companionway, Yanmar 1GM10, 9hp single cylinder diesel engine. Engine believed to be mounted on Polyflex mounts. Stainless steel fuel tank. Seawater cooled. Morse type single lever controls with electric start. Shaft drive to 3-bladed fixed propeller. The engine was overhauled in 2019 including new engine mounts, removal and skimming of the head, piston bores and rings reglazed, and the engine reassembled with new gaskets and temperature sender. The shaft was drawn at the same time & refitted with a new stern gland and realigned.
Electrical Systems
Single 12v battery (new 2017) charged via engine alternator. Electrical distribution panel. Cabin lighting. Nasa BM1 battery monitor system. The engine electrical systems are in good order but the domestic installation requires testing/repairing as not currently in use.
