RIG & SAILS
Bermudan sloop, masthead rig, mast in tabernacle, stainless steel standing rigging, terylene running rigging, roller main reefing, Colnebrook headsail furling system. Main sail, furling genoa and jib.
Navico Wheelpilot WP5000 electronic autopilot is fitted, with control unit at steering console, electric motor mounted beneath wheel and belt drive (with clutch) to the wheel.
ENGINE & FUEL TANKS
Yanmar 3GM30 three-cylinder marine diesel engine with reduction gearbox (engine serial no. 16556), of 27hp / 20.1kW nominal maximum rating @3600rpm.
Electric starting (or with the aid of three separate decompression levers if necessary in the event of low battery power – a hand cranking facility is also provided). Engine panel at steering console, incorporating power key and starter button, oil pressure alarm, tachometer and warning lights. Morse single-lever control on console operating gear and throttle via flexible Morse type cables, with cable-operated stop mechanism adjacent. Belt-driven alternator and separate belt for impeller-type water pump. There is a solar charger on the cockpit roof.
The engine is raw water-cooled with reinforced flexible hose led from the seawater intake seacock to an in-line, clear-topped strainer, then to the water pump, and the raw water circuit incorporates a siphon-breaking vent on the bulkhead above with overflow led to the bilge.
Flexible water-cooled exhaust hose with in-line Vetus muffler, high loop aft and discharge at an above-waterline skin fitting.
Twin Vetus rigid plastic fuel tanks each of 61 litres capacity are securely strapped on either side beneath the cockpit, and were fitted new in 20017. Reinforced flexible hoses from separate deckfillers, tank vents led to skin fittings with flame-arrester gauzes in hull topsides. A reinforced flexible balance pipe is fitted between tanks, with isolating valves at either end.
Top-exit copper fuel delivery tubing from valves at either tank is led to an in-line pre-filter / watertrap (of metal bowl type, with metal drain plug), then fuel-resistant reinforced flexible hose makes final connection to the engine-mounted fuel lift pump. Armoured flexible hose leads to the engine-mounted filter, and mild steel fuel pipes to the injection pump and injectors. A short length of fuel-resistant flexible hose connects the engine to the main run of copper fuel return tubing led back to the top of tanks.
Flexible coupling to a stainless steel propeller shaft of approx. 28.6mm (1.25in) diameter, fitted with a three-bladed yellow metal right hand propeller embossed to indicate that it was constructed at 17in diameter, 10in pitch. The propeller has good blade profile, and gave a satisfactory return when sounded, and was found to be free from significant dezincification or other corrosion. The stainless steel retaining nut and cotter are also in satisfactory condition.

Masthead bermudan sloop rig. Two head sailes (1 roller reefing) and Main all in good condition. Anodised aluminium mast (deck stepped) and boom, Two halyard winches attached outside of deckhouse.
On bow, Danforth with 30m chain plus warp into locker. Spare anchor in stern port locker.
Stainless steel pulpit, pushpit, stanchions and guard wires with Teak capping, Teak coach roof and salon roof grab rails.
